It has been awhile since we have posted. Although we thought about it, we decided to take this time to take a step back, relax and reflect. The last year has been significant for Gym-max Gatineau. Within one year, Gym-Max has undergone a fire and within 8 months of reopening, it was forced to close due to COVID-19.
This time away has allowed us (staff and owners) to have some much needed and well-deserved down time.
Although there is much uncertainty out there in the world and we do not know the state of the when It opens. We are awaiting the confirmation of an official date issued by the public health department as well as any precautions that we will be required to put into effect. Once we have this information, we will be sure to post it.
An important factor for Gym-Max when reopening, is to maintain a warm, friendly environment and promote a sense of community where COVID has caused so much mental, physical separation. We will do our best to uplift our clients and provide an ongoing sense of well-being and connectedness. We will continue to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor. We hope that although we have all been consumed by fear and apprehension, we will be able to come together and regain this sense of unity and sociability.
On another note, in the last few weeks, we have been spending time cleaning, renovating, rearranging equipment and MORE. As you already know, Gym-Max is always looking for a new reason to improve its facility and this closure is no exception!!
There are a few secrets that we are not yet ready to reveal. But I can tell you that we have replaced all dumbbells.
Have no fear, we will reopen. We have been in the region for over 25+ years and we intend to be here for a long time to come. For now, the gym is empty and awaits your return.
Payments
As we have previously posted, all payments were suspended on March 18th. Gym-Max Gatineau was not prepared for the closure and our member management system has no feature to stop payments on a mass level. We ended up having to manually suspend each account. There are some clients whose payments pass during the first few days of closure.
If you are one of the clients whose payments passed and if your situation allows, please consider offering all or some portion of your already paid fees to be retained by Gym-Max as a donation. Any contribution will greatly help the club and be deeply appreciated. Otherwise, we will honor all each payment and if necessary, we will adjust your bi-weekly payments accordingly.
Please keep in mind that we remain closed, so we are unable to respond to member inquiries. All requests will be treated when we reopen.
