In order to ensure the cleanliness of our facilities, as well as the safety and well-being of all our members, it is necessary to apply certain rules in a fair manner. Gym-Max reserves the right to modify these rules and to add new ones as needed, without prior notice, always with the aim of maintaining the best possible training environment for all our members.
GENERAL
- All members must have their membership card (key tag), without exception! Any member caught lending his or her card will have his or her membership revoked. Members agree to pay a fee of $5 plus tax for the replacement of their card if it is lost, misplaced or stolen.
- Lockers must be emptied daily, except for those that are rented.
- Please observe proper personal hygiene by showering regularly, wearing clean clothing and using deodorant.
- A separate pair of indoor shoes is required all year round at the club.
- For men, cut-off shorts, jeans, sleeveless shirts and tank tops are not permitted.
- For ladies, the sports bra, if worn alone, must be a minimum of 4 inches (10 centimetres) below the bust and shorts must also measure a minimum of 4 inches (10 centimetres) at the crotch, thus booty shorts are not permitted.
- The use of alcohol, cigarettes, vaporizers and illegal drugs (including steroids) is strictly forbidden on all club property.
- Everyone in the club is expected to respect each other’s privacy, therefore capturing video or photos which include Gym-Max patrons or staff is prohibited.
- Only certified Gym-Max personnel are authorized to offer training advice or serve as personal trainers to club members.
- Staff and personal trainers are responsible for enforcing club rules. Any disrespect for them will not be tolerated.
TRAINING AREA
- A towel is required at all times within the club’s training areas.
- No sport bags are allowed in training areas. Only small bags are allowed.
- Weights and other equipment must be replaced in their original location.
- The use of chalk powder is forbidden; only liquid chalk is permitted.
- It is strictly forbidden to drop weights or plates on weight loaded stacks (pully)
- It is forbidden to bring food or beverages into the training area other than in spill-proof bottles.
- Never stand on training benches.
- Do not place weights on training benches.
- No abusive or vulgar language is allowed, nor is excessive shouting or strange noises during training.
- Members are not permitted to bring their own equipment into the club.
- Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in the club’s training areas.
SAUNA
- Refrain from conducting personal hygiene (ex. shaving, nail clipping, applying lotions or perfumes, hair dying etc.)
- Users must be covered in a towel or bathing suit.
- It is not recommended that users under the age of 17 use the sauna.
- Pregnant women and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure should not use the sauna.
- No food or glass containers are allowed.
- Do not tamper with the temperature gauge and/or sauna rocks.
- Dry Sauna. Do not pour water on the rocks. System is not designed for water to be added.
- Capturing photos and /or videos is strictly prohibited.
À LA CARTE
- This card may be shared with your friends and family.
- This card is non-refundable and will not be replaced if it is lost, stolen or damaged.
- You must have a valid photo ID.
- A separate pair of indoor shoes is mandatory.
- Tank tops are not permitted for men.
- You must always have a towel with you at all times.
- No sports bags are allowed in training areas. Only a small drawstring bag is permitted.
FAMILY PACKAGE
To help families get moving, Gym-Max is offering an $89.99 annual membership to teens aged 12-17.
Parents must maintain a regular membership price for their children to benefit from this rate.
